Update Contract Details-Amendment RFQ

Hi:

When a RFQ with contract terms is published and then ammended, why is it not possible to update the current contract template and apply another template via Create Amendment RFQ>Contract Terms>Actions: Update Contract Details?

Is there a way I can do this?
