Oracle Standard Reports

Hi Guys,
Just need some of your opinions for the following question:

1. Is it more advisable to create a custom directory in case we create some customized reports or not?

2. Is it true that standard directories like the /AP/Reports/US/ should not be modify?

3. Is deleting any Oracle standard reports in Oracle are not allowed?
