Resource Manager 'Idle Time Limit' & Oracle Applications 11i

Hi,

We recently had a situation where a blocking session caused signficant waits for a prolonged time.  A suggestion is to configure the Resource Manager 'Idle Time Limit'.  I'm looking to see if anyone has had any experience or advice in configuring the Resource Manager 'Idle Time Limit'on an Oracle Applications database?  What are the Best Practices?

I have already reviewed "About Oracle Database Resource Manager" from http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/dbrm001.htm
"You can specify an amount of time that a session can be idle, after which it is terminated. You can also specify a more stringent idle time limit that applies to sessions that are idle and blocking other sessions."

Howdy, Stranger!
