Guest shutdown - Ops Center vs. manual
Hi there,
I've just installed a new Ops Center environment, so I'm running Solaris 11.1 everywhere, LDOMs manager 3.0, and Ops Center 12.1.2.
I've installed my first guest through Ops Center (following the docs to the letter), on a T4 control domain, and noticed something odd. When I select "Shutdown" for my guest, it shuts down successfully but I noticed the guest completely disappears from the "ldm list" output on the control domain. I cannot display any information on the guest using "ldm" in the CLI. Is this normal?
[update]: I noticed there is a "Destroy Guest" task as part of the shutdown process. Can anyone explain why this is necessary? Is it re-building the configuration on the service processor every time you Start the guest? It just seems odd.
