Format Payment Instructions is taking more than 5 hours to complete for 2000 invoices

 Hello All,
We have created a custom Check template to display Invoice and Payment information in R12. The "Format Payment Instructions" program is taking long time to complete 2000 invoices. When I see the log of the concurrent program, the XML tags are generating with in minutes, however conversion of XML into PDF is taking very long time. The issue could be with my Custom template. Unfortunately I cannot change the columns/conditions inside custom template. Is there any way that we can improve the performance of the OPP so that it would convert the XML into PDF very fast.
