Setups required for Release Sales Order ??

Hi Experts, hope you all ok .... What are the setups require for the release sales order ??
Actually in our daily practise we use to creat the sales order from relaese of the Sales Agreement and then we just go into the Shipping Transaction window and from there we just after finding the specific Sales Order we just start the launch Pick Concurrnt ......
 now i want to use the release sales order window but i have learn for that i need to define the release rules ??? can you suggest me how the picking release can be done by this method ???
