Display Promotion as Root Item

Dear all,

Sorry for the spam but I need your advise for a UI requirement raised by my client.

 

Their product Catalog uses extensively Promotion and has got few CxP products associated to it.

OOTB displays the Promotion at the same level as the Root products associated to that and within an order with several Promotions, the CSR may have difficulties in understanding immediately the CxP associated to each promotion.

 

The System Integrator suggest a possible solution displaying the Promotion as Root product of the CxP, however I’d like to understand:

1)      whether someone of you had a similar requirements in the past and how you coped with it?
