Statement Generation Program output in XML instead of text

Dear All,

We just migrated to R12 in our development instance. Now when I try to print the statement, Statement Generation Program shows output in xml.  I referred few document regarding this issue and found that xml template needs to be used to get the output in pdf format. But we need the output in text only.

My question is why this standard report is not showing output in text format even though it is defined as text in R12. I know in 11i, AR Customer Balance Statement Letter shows output from ARXSGPO.rdf layout. I believe in R12 also we should get the output in text format with out any additional setup/template, since the seeded program is defined as text format.
