Function of Request 'Reschedule requisitions issue'

Ct find the Req 'Reschedule requisitions issue' has been running in our system, but Ct never run it before.

What is the function of this request?
Could this function have impact on other function?

Use the Reschedule Requisitions process to update requisition information for the rows
that Master Scheduling/MRP has inserted into the rescheduling interface table. This
information can include changes to need-by dates recommended by MRP as well as
changes to requisition quantities made by means of the Planner's Workbench.
