Manager's role based filter

Hello,

Is it possible to have a filter based on Manager's role on an opportunity report. I would like to list Manager, Owner of Opp and other Opp details.In other words the Manager should be able to see all the opp created by him as well as his/her subordinates. Untill now we had only 2 regional directors, so I had hardcoded  the Mangaer's alias names in the filter. As we expand the implementation, I would like to remove the hardcoded names and somehow use the role of the manager. Any suggestions?
