Opinion for Opatch on apps databse nodes

Hi,

This is in reference of ORA-00600:[ksfdchkfob1] occurring intermittently on financial database fisprd1. Oracle Support recommends for  patch 9717463 to fix  the bug for  I/O errors that are caused by the OS issues or can be fixed after upgrade to 12.1/11.2.0.2  (server Patch set).

We require your valuable opinion for the same if we can apply on our financial prod database.
