ACFS issues as described in Doc Id's 1465927.1 and 1450794.1

Hello,

We are using 11.2.0.3 RAC and are wanting to set ADR_BASE for Database homes to a shared directory, created on an ACFS mounted file system.

The Doc Id's 1465927.1 and 1450794.1 indicate that there may be issues with ACFS in 11.2.0.3 and state that:

'Upgrade the system to 11.2.0.4 later. As this code fix is going to be included in 11.2.0.4 and  backport of this code fix is risky on lower releases.'

Can someone from Oracle explain why this fix is risky and can not be backported for 11.2.0.3 where the capability to use ACFS for Database exports was first introduced?
