how to handle the special characters like '&' ,'$' etc

Hello Team,
I am having a column which is having the data with '&'(Example F&F, Machine&Supply etc). I am using xml publisher report to display the data. I am using the rdf approach to build the xml file.
But when we output is generated as required.

Can any one help me how to handle this (&) in the data from rdf?
