Business Rules: Get value of UDA from selection

In an application, I have a business rule that give a pop-up to make some selections and set some data. One of the memeber selections is an Activity Plan.  This dimension has a UDA value.  When someone selects the activity plan, how can I store the value of that Plan's UDA into a variable?
