Connecting to Mysql tables using Oracle Reports

Can someone help me out by providing a step by step instruction on how to connect to mysql tables as sql source using Oracle reports. FYI, I have tried "jdbc pdc" but could not able to get succeed as of now as I think am not getting the configuration / set-up in place correctly. 

Please provide assistance.
