hyperion add ins cause issue when trying to view a fsg report from report manager

Evening
We are having an issue where users are attempting to view a fsg report run in report manager get a active x control/internet options security error and they are unable to view the output. When we disable the hyperion com add ins in excel the issue doesn' t happen. We use IE8, Excel 2007 and Excel 2010. The problem is somehow the hyperion com add ins are re-enabled and the user has the issue again. Anyone else experienced this issue?

We are on 12.1.2
