Can't switch to another open spreadsheet after uploading a journal entry

We are able to upload journal entries using WEB ADI but after the upload is complete, our users cannot click on any other open excel spreadsheets.  They have to close all open spreadsheets and reopen them to be able to switch between them by clicking on them in the task bar.  This started happening when we moved from Windows XP to Windows 7.  It happens with templates that were generated under XP and also new templates that were generated in Windows7.  Does anyone know how to fix this?
