Need help to concatenate Oppty Name with Account Name + Opty Id

Hello,

I put default value ([<AccountName>]+ '' +[<OpportunityId>]) into Opportunity Name under Opportunity Field Edit Admin. I also mark Post Default.

After logout/login, I created a new opportunity, the new record had Account name populated but I left the Opportunity Name blank. When I saved the record, it error out saying Opportunity Name is requried. I thought it would be post default into account name + opty Id, but it did not behave as my expectation. Did I miss some other configuration? Please help.
