Refresh Project Summary Amounts versus Update Project Summary Amounts

Hello,
We currently run Refresh Project Summary Amounts once or twice a week, and again as part of a pre-close request set for Projects.

I have been told the only function this job performs is to update the Project Status Inquiry form (and likely the back-end data tables). Can someone verify that this job isn't performing some bigger, more wide-ranging function than this?

We use Clarity and as such, don't utilize the Project Status Inquiry form, but run this job to stay current in the event we ever leave Clarity and utilize the built-in Project Management functions of Oracle.

I'm also reading that we really only ever needed to run Refresh Project Summary Amounts initially and then just run Update Project Summary Amounts at some specified interval to keep this project data up to date (as the Update job utilizes a last-run parameter). Currently we run both jobs; is there any reason why we'd need to run both, or are we safe to just run the Update job as we have been and stop running the Refresh job?

Howdy, Stranger!
