Future Use Account Segment

Hi All,

Our Chart of Accounts was initially setup with a 'Future Use' segment which currenly defaults to '00000'. Now we want to start using it as one of our new business entity requires a new segment. I have the following questions regarding this:

1) How to Activate the Future Use segment?

2) Can we now change the number of digits in this segment to 6 or 4? (It has been defaulting to 00000, does the change in number of digits has any impact on the existing journal entries?)

3) Can this segment be restricted to have a value only when the company segment has a value of 'JS00'?
