_bloom_pruning_enabled setting to FALSE

Hello All,
We got deadlocks in the database   in the 11.2.0.3 prod database of 2 node RAC on AIX server and upon research on metalink found out that it's a bug and the work around is _bloom_pruning_enabled setting to FALSE will help.

I would  get the advice from  the Expert team here. What are the implications by setting it to FALSE?
