ORA-03297: file contains used data beyond requested RESIZE value

Hi Experts,


   I recently droped some  backup tables.their  size is upto 40gb. Now i want to reduce the datafile size because of more free space after droping some tables.
 
   But i am unable to decrease the size even though it is showing free space.

   Getting the below error.

   ERROR at line 1:
ORA-03297: file contains used data beyond requested RESIZE value


  Is there any solution to overcome this error?


please help me.
