Ledger Set and Data Access Set

Hi Team

What are the usage of Data Access Set ?

If we want to use "Ledget Set" is it neccessary to use Data Access ?

If we have only Ledger Set then can we use the features of Opening Period of multiple Ledgers under one ledger set, generation of Recurring Journals, Mass allocation etc?

Or

To achieve the above features, Data Access Set is mandatory?.
