Cannot update future terminated contract

Hi,

We have a need to extend future terminated contracts. Say we terminate the contract at a future date on customers request and by then the customer requests us to open the contract again, in this case we are unable to extend the contract. Can anyone advise if this functionality is available in 12.0.6?
