Export a segment of data from an Essbase cube

Your expertise with Essbase is really appreciated. 

I need to export a segment of data blocks from an Essbase cube.  For example, I need Actuals, for the retail products, from 2010 to 2012.   Once I export this, I need to load it into another cube that already has data.

I know how to export all data with a MAXL. I just need a portion of the data stored in a cube.  This includes adjustments located in the ADJ scenario, so separating the source data and loading only the retail portion would be doable.  I would then have to redo every ajustment in the new database.  This is doable, however, if any of you know a more direct approach, I would appreciate your feedback.
