Role cannot change own password

edited Dec 11, 2012 2:27PM in Oracle Solaris System Administration (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered
I have created a role and it is unable to change it own password, surely there is some right to be able to allow the role to change its own passwd. Do not want to give the role "User Security" profile as this would allow the role to change all passwords. I must be missing something obvious.

Output;

$ passwd newrole
Enter existing login password:
Roles can only be assumed by authorized users
Permission denied

Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially as it will probably be something very simple

Howdy, Stranger!
