RPAS 13.3.1.2 - How to backup a domain

Hi all,
  I'd like to know if are there any other techniques to backup a domain rather then tar and zip it.

Because with small domain this technique may imply some hours, but If I have a domain of about 1 or 2 TB how long does this process take?

In your opinion is possible to use any incremental backup technique?
