Possible Link of NetBackup with Running Oracle Instance

Can anyone point me to documentation or experiences with linking NetBackup and Oracle while the Oracle instance is up and running?  I have the problem of only having one instance running of each of my databases due to a SAN problem.  I want to bounce the +ASM instance in order to free up whatever it is from allowing my other +ASM instances in the cluster from mounting the diskgroups, but I need to have a good backup first.  Catch 22.....
