Order Information Portal question

Hi,

We're using R12.1.3 version of Oracle Apps.

We're planning to implement Order Information Portal(OIP) in our company and my understanding is OIP can run on any computer with Internet and Brwoser access.

I would like to know how do we give the access to external customers? I mean just the url? how does customer access OIP?

Please shed some light on this.
