AutoReverse and Journal Approval

I remember reading somewhere that if you have AutoReverse and Journal Approval working int he system that when you enter an AutoReversing Journal and that goes through the approval process, when the reversing journal is created it bypasses the approval process because the initial approval is approving botht eh journal and reversing journal.  First is this true?  Second I cannot get my system to do this how can I get the AutoReverse jorunal to bypass the approval process on the reversing journal?
