Inventory Item Numbers

We are on Enterprise One 9.0 and we are adding new Branches to the our company Inventory. I am wondering if we can use the 3rd Item Number to track the Unique or Manufacturer's Part number at the Branch Level since that is the only number that the new branches are familiar with.  Any help would be appreciated.
