P&L based on Product line

Hi Gurus

We have 11.5.10. We need report product linewise profit and loss account. Can be achived this through product category accounting? if yes how can we get P&L based on the product line and also we need line wise inventory valutaiton

Can some one through light on this it would be appriciated.
