2013 Additional Medicare Tax on income over $200,000

Beginning Jan 1, 2013, the new health reform legislation increases the hospital insurance (HI) tax on high-wage individuals by 0.9% (to 2.35%).  This is part of PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.   Document 1500516.1 has more information.
