Question regarding the default receipt date in P4312

Hello all, I have a question regarding the default behavior of the receipt date in the P4312 interface.  We have had several instances where users forget to update the receipt date in the P4312 header before working in the grid on P4312; by default, E1 simply enters the current date as the receipt date and then locks down the field in the UI from further editing.  When the users realize that they do not have the correct receipt date entered, they either cancel the transaction and start over or just push their receipts through with the wrong receipt date.  While I
