Questions about Oracle 11i username guidelines

I was hoping to get some information or pointed into the right direction.I am tasked to get some guideline info about Oracle 11i usernames. Here are the questions:

What is the longest user ID that is allowed in 11i EBS?

What special characters are allowed in the user name?

What if a user’s last name is hyphenated? What about an underscore or an apostrophe?

How is the EBS user id authenticated? LDAP? Active Directory?
