PAY: Changing Cost Allocation KFF Structure?

HR/payroll is implemented (R12) with the cost allocation KFF defined to meet the client's legacy g/l.  The client decides a year later to implement Oracle Financials (G/L) and want to define a difference structure.  What would be the best avenue to take.  Would it require creating a new KFF definition and a new BG?

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what pros and/or cons are out there.
