MWA - Custom java pages compilation Errors -- R12 Upgrade

 Hello,
As part of our R12 upgrade from 11.5.10, we have a new development instance where in we are trying to compile few Custom MWA Java pages for WMS.

However all the compilations (directly on Unix app server) are failing with "cannot find symbol" error.
Checked few online forums and found that it may have to do with Class path settings on the server.

Can someone help out with the detailed steps to be followed with regards to system configurations during an R12 upgrade with reference to MWA Pages and class path settings?

Note: There was a workaround posted online, stating that if the pages are compiled outside the server using JDeveloper and then if the pages are moved to the instances they do work.
