Bursting runs OK but doesn't send e-mail

I have created 12 very similar BIP reports, each one uses the 'afterreport' trigger to burst the report to a single e-mail recipient. All of the reports run OK and create (Excel) output, and all show bursting as successful. However, 5 of the reports consistently fail to send e-mails.

Any ideas?
