Migrating Sales Process

Hello,
I have a question about Sales Process.

for example

Process 1 has sales stages: 1,2,3,closed won, closed lost
Process 2 has sales stages: a,b,c, closed won, closed lost

From what i can tell it is not possible using the import wizard to migration any opportunity current associate to "process 1- stage 1"  to a sales stage "process 2 - stage 2)

I'm hoping I'm wrong. So could someone tell me how i can update the opportunity to the new sales process.

I know there is an option for adding a,b,c to process 1, but i want to avoid that.
