Duplexing arhive logs

When I run a  'backup database plus archivelog delete input', is there a way I could configure to keep the secondary  arhive log location intact.  My goal is to have the mandatory arhive folder which is  local to the host to be recycled, I would like to keep the secondary arhive log location in the network not to be reset, which I will allow those arhive logs to grow and be kept indefinitely.
