Siebel - ibm ldap client

Hi,

   On existing environment Siebel 8.1.1.7 (Solaris) , we ahve requirement inetegrating the Siebel OM with Active directory.   I have installed base version of 8.1.1.0 ibm ldap client and did rest of the configuration steps.  The OM is successfull configured and ldap functionality is working fine.  

 My query :  As I have only installed only base version of 8.1.1.0 ibm ldap client ....do I need to again  run the 8.1.1.7 patch? Are there any issues that will occur If I don't patch it with 8.1.1.7 for ibm ldap client? (as the LDAP configured OM is working fine)
