can i used the download VM(for exadata) from the internal to make apply patch test ?

hi gurus :

    customer buy  a Quarter Rack DM, now i want help customer to apply a one off patch but customer no more DM to give me to make test.
I am not sure do it. so i want know can i used the download VM(for exadata) from the internal to make this test ? thanks...
