Physical Standby Database

Hello Guru,


Our database is Oracle 10.2.0.5 64 bit in windows 2003 R2 64 bit.

We have manual physical standby database, which I copy and apply archive almost everyday.

Now we want to create Auto or online physical standby database.

I want to create backup with rman, stored it to eksternal drive, and then move it to standby database.

But the process seems to much effort and time because our database almost reach 300GB.

The question, Is there any way to do rman backup with less effort and time???
