during u6678700.drv upgrade from 11i to 12.1.1, adpatch failes. How to run adadmin but safely prese

during u6678700.drv,

I get many workers fail at about half way thru(all same error:  INVALID FND_FUCTION_SECURITY).  WHen I check I have over 1700 invalids in apps schema.  I tried utlrp.sql but could not bring down invalids.   i want to run adadmin to recreate grants/synonms, but it will wipe out FND_INSTALL_PROCESSES. 

QUestion 1:

How can I safely preserve this current adpatch (upgrade) session, attempt to bring down invalids in APPS, and resume adpatch (upgrade) again?

QUestion 2:

Is it safe for me to start the u6678700.drv all over again (drop the fND_INSTALL_PROCESSES table), from the start, even though over 67000 jobs have been completed?
