R12.1.3 9239090 upgrade driver invitem.odf run for 3+ hrs

Experts,

We are applying the EBS 12.1.3 upgrade driver  patch 9239090 and invitem.odf run for 3hrs 40mins of the total run time of 8.5 hours. We are looking at options to reduce any time line on the 9239090 driver run.

invitem.odf looks to be creating/modifying large indexes on the below under lying inventory tables.

MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B   - 12million
MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_TL  - 36million

Is there a way we can run the updated version of invitem.odf ahead of the 12.1.3 patch, what is the right options with which it can be run ? We tried as below ahead of the 12.1.3 patch, however it did not create the large indexes.
