E1 Preventive Maintenance Processes

Hello Community,
My question is, does anyone have any "standard" practices they use as far as a proactive preventive maintenance approach to the E1 systems they are tasked with maintaining?  Any assistance in this area would be greatly appreciated.  I'm also curious which releases you may be working with.  I have several that need maintenance from Xe up to 9.1.
