Siebel 8.1.1.9 - how to develop connected mobile applications in thick client

Hi All,
I've installed 8.1.1.9 and applied all the OpenUI stuff. Now trying to play around with the connected mobile applications.
How do you develop mobile applications? From what I found out so far, it can only be done in connected mode, since developer client does not offer a mobile view, right? So I would shutdown my mobile OM, compile SRF changes, and startup the mobile OM again to see the changes.
