financial option-inventory organization?

 Hi,
We dnt have inventory and purchasing module....we r using only AP and GL........At starting of implementing of AP where financial option are to be set.In supplier/purchasing tab,you can see inventory organization field.Why it is mandatory field?and list of value is nil
