uncreate to create accounting in AP

While create accounting following error message comes "The GL date 30-SEP-2012 is not in an open or a future enterable period.  Please select a valid GL date or open the period. "

GL period for the month of Sep-12 is also opened but in error its shows it not opened , so what to do.
