Task assignment

Hi Experts
The resource assignment from update Tasks in WCB is quite a difficult by selecting each resource from LOV. how can i avoid the resource(human) selection in WCB and how can i automate to assign resource. Can any one help me on this?

also i want to avoid the equipment selection form page in mobile. is there any setup to suppress this?
